FC Andorra turn to LaLiga Tech to develop a new website and improve communication with fans
  • Els Tricolors have taken a major step forward in terms of communication thanks to the launch of a new, more modern and interactive website, which will allow supporters to enjoy more and better content.
  • The decision to build this new website is part of the club’s overall strategy, which is to strengthen the communication and relationship with fans, to continue professionalising the club and to find new market opportunities through data.

FC Andorra are a club committed to continuing the growth they have experienced in recent years. While promotion into professional football has opened up a new landscape for the club in sporting terms, the institution also wants to ensure that the rest of its departments aren’t left behind, so there is a desire to “continue professionalising the club”.

As part of this process, and in collaboration with LaLiga Tech, FC Andorra decided to take a major step forward in terms of communication with the creation of a new website. They have launched a website that is modern and much more interactive than the previous one, which will help fans to stay up to date with the club’s day-to-day activities through more and better content.

Comparing the new website with the previous one, the club stated: “We had a very old and complex website, which only allowed us to have news in the form of a blog, so this change allows us to better organise the information and departments of the club so that everyone can access accurate information about FC Andorra in real time.” They add that the new website has allowed the club to “be faster, more agile and more accessible when it comes to working”, as well as offering the supporters much more information and in different formats than before.

The promotion into LaLiga SmartBank in the summer was a significant change for the club as a whole, and those in charge at the institution are continually working on adapting the infrastructure for the requirements of professional football, as well as adjusting to the needs of the fans. In this sense, the club said that: “The new website is a 360-degree improvement, which will allow us to be closer to our fans, with the aim of providing more services, such as buying products or having much more information and statistics about our players.”

The change will help the club to get to know their fanbase better and, from there, they’ll be able to offer these supporters better content and better experiences. On this, the club added: “According to the data we’ve been able to obtain since November, the website has been well received and we’re not just receiving visitors from Andorra, but also from many other places. The data allows us to have more information about the people interested in the club and we’re confident we can make the most of this to identify new market opportunities.”

Moreover, Els Tricolors have become a pioneering institution in terms of using ‘Maker’, the unified web and app content manager, which is one of the flagship projects of LaLiga and its technology department for this season. In the coming weeks, FC Andorra will even launch a personalised app with exclusive club information and content.
