The new season will bring a change in format of the eLaLiga Santander SuperCup, taking place on January 28th 2023. In this tournament, four clubs will face each other at an in-person showdown in Barcelona, and this will serve as the launch pad for the season. Deportivo Alavés, Real Valladolid, RC Celta and Real Zaragoza will compete for this title, with the winning team receiving 5,000 euros and the runner-up 2,000 euros. Over the course of the season, the total prize money will exceed 300,000 euros.
Two professional footballers appeared at the main event of pre-season
There has also been a pre-season event, called ‘eLaLiga Santander All Star’, to allow players and teams to get warmed up ahead of the new campaign. This brought together some of the content creators and proplayers who are most popular in this community, as well as two professional footballers.
It was a fun and exciting event which counted with some of the most relevant Spanish streamers and gamers, and at which Team Spursito emerged as the winners. At the controls were Spursito, Kolderiu, Chousita, who is playing this year for newcomers FC Andorra, and Girona FC’s professional football player Miguel Gutiérrez.
Also participating was Team DjMaRiiO, who fought until the end even if they couldn’t take the victory. They were represented by DjMaRiiO, Cacho, LuisPerezzz17 from CA Osasuna and RCD Espanyol’s professional football player Edu Expósito.
