The worlds of football and the circus may appear distinct, but a new venture from Cirque du Soleil and LaLiga intends to demonstrate that they are joined by the desire to provide world class entertainment. With one of the game’s greatest ever players as its chief protagonist, the two events, which begin this July, promise a fan experience like no other.

Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil, which premieres on October 10 at Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum venue, will bring the spectacle of Lionel Messi to life through the awe-inspiring acrobatics for which the circus has become internationally known. But for all visiting football fans, there will be an added opportunity to get closer to one of the game’s living legends.

To accompany the new show, LaLiga has created the Messi10 Challenge LaLiga, a Messi-themed experience that provides different challenges related to player, with VIP prizes on offer.

The space, which holds 300 people, is divided into five stations related the Blaugrana’s number 10, with experiences including an indoor pitch and interactive Q&A zone. The participant who performs the best across these challenges will take the title of 'Messi of the day', winning the chance to participate in the show and meet the man himself.

For fans who want to be among the first to experience this challenge, an advanced Messi10 Challenge LaLiga Summer Edition will open during July and August at the Mini Estadi next to FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou. The visitor who accumulates the most points during this period will receive a trip to the world premiere of Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil, including access to the VIP premiere party.
