LaLiga SmartBank excitement, more accessible in Spain than ever before
LaLiga SmartBank excitement, more accessible in Spain than ever before
  • The innovative commercialisation format proposed by LaLiga for the domestic market exponentially multiplies the number of operators available to fans.
  • LaLiga achieves its goal of improving accessibility to the SmartBank competition, which will be available on at least 10 different platforms.

LaLiga SmartBank fans in Spain will be able to choose where to watch the competition from the widest range of operators available to date.

LaLiga SmartBank matches will be available in the domestic market, along with LaLiga Santander, on Movistar and Orange, but also on Telecable's sports package from the first matchday.  From September, Amazon Prime Video, Euskaltel, R, Virgin Telco, MásMóvil, Yoigo and Guuk will gradually be added to the broadcasts, which exponentially multiplies fans' access to the competition.

As one of the main objectives of this commercialisation formula was to extend the reach of the SmartBank and LaLiga does not rule out the entry of new IPTV operators and telcos to further expand an offer for the fan, that is already an achievement in terms of accessibility and reach of LaLiga SmartBank.

The new non-exclusive commercialisation format of the LaLiga SmartBank TV rights for the domestic market has allowed LaLiga to achieve its goal of wider distribution to reach more fans and improve the reach and exposure of the competition.

This proposal facilitates access to the excitement of LaLiga SmartBank while guaranteeing the achievement of the economic objectives proposed by LaLiga and may even increase the value of the rights of this category.

Through LaLiga SmartBank TV channel the following content can be followed:

  • The eleven matches of each matchday of LaLiga SmartBank live
  • All six matches of the LaLiga Santander promotion play-offs live
  • Accessory summaries
  • Weekly highlights programme

In addition, to maximise reach, the two best matches of each matchday will be available on basic pay-per-view platforms such as Movistar's Vamos channel and other similar platforms.

Also, LaLiga SmartBank TV Channel will offer users the option of accessing the narration and commentary of the broadcast in all co-official languages in those territories with a co-official language.

In this sense, the competition also reinforces its team of narrators and commentators. The narrators in charge of broadcasting the excitement of LaLiga SmartBank will be Xavi Rodriguez, Dani Fernández, Jordi Pons, Lluís Izquierdo, Alba Oliveros, Héctor Ruiz, Sergio Ferra and Axel Martínez. Completing the cast are top-level commentators such as former footballers Javi Márquez, Alberto García, Pedro Nieto, Lluís Carreras, Esteban Suárez and Jofre Mateu.

Fans will be able to choose between the Movistar and Orange offers that offer LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank in full and will also be able to choose from the wide range of operators that will have access to the LaLiga SmartBank competition.
