Nielsen Sports’ most recent study emphasizes an increasingly fragmented sports and entertainment ecosystem, where people are spending more time on connected devices and have an infinite amount of content at their fingertips. However, in spite of the lure of digitization, the study also notes this has actually increased the value of shared experiences that are real and authentic – putting live events at the top of the value pyramid.
