Revenue from the e-sports sector was estimated to top $1B in 2019, a 27% increase over 2018.  Clearly, this is one of the fastest-growing sectors as sports, entertainment and the preferences of young adults converge

We think e-sports is far more than a branding exercise:

  • Data capture, which can be monetized to generate new revenue from sponsorship (especially in non-traditional categories)
  • Brand affinity
  • Aligns with entertainment preferences of player demographics (providing a direct connection between the club, its players and a new breed of fans)
  • Content – why not launch a new digital platform that is anchored by club/player-inspired content that is specifically targeted and directed to this new generation of fans which, in turn, can be monetized via aligned brands?
