How your fans may be your best ticket salespeople?

(via their personal social media channels)

The LTS encourages all LaLiga clubs to recruit, hire and train salespeople to sell season tickets and other ticket products (both VIP and general public), via face-to-face meetings with business owners and managers.  This method continues to be the most effective approach to gaining new sales, as good salespeople typically generate a return-on-investment ranging from 2:1 to 10:1 – with this kind of return, it doesn’t make sense not to hire salespeople!

At the same time, there is a new sales channel emerging – using your existing season ticket customers as “ambassadors” to locate and sell season tickets (and other ticket products, such as mini-plans and groups) to new customers, via their personal social media platforms.  Consider this example from the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, a club that has traditionally struggled with attendance:

The Arizona Coyotes NHL ice hockey franchise has launched an ambassador programme, in a move designed to boost attendances and attract younger ticket buyers.  The new ticket-selling strategy allows a user to sign up for free and sell tickets through their social channels.  Ticket sales translate into points, which can be redeemed for free tickets, vouchers for an all-you-can eat section, passes to the AZBlue Club, for food and beer, and other perks like a Zamboni ride.  READ MORE
